i have been taking 20mg of escitalopram for almost 8 weeks now due to have horrible anxiety... this all stated 72 days ago from today i always have really bad diarrhea everyday i just want me life back i i wish i could feel myself again ... im so scared to try another medication because the first couple of weeks on this made me feel like i was going to die someone help please i dont want to lose my job or family and sometime i just feel like dying

Seems like it should've worked by now. I'm also struggling with lexapro. My dr. gave me a month-long leave of absence from work it's been so bad. Can't eat, sleep, horrible morning anxiety. Jittery, feeling sick in general. I was only on 5mg for a week and now 10mg for 3 days. It's been awful. I had a bad, prolonged period of insomnia and anxiety before I decided to try this med. I had high hopes for it :( If it hasn't worked by now, it probably won't. I'm going to go back down to 5mg to see if that does any good. Are you able to work and leave the house? If so, that's more than I can do. Best of luck to you.

Escitalopram did not work for me at all. if it has been 8 weeks that is plenty of time to feel better. If that med doesnt work another will. Talk to your doctor about it. I am currently on another anti depressant and it works great. . Talk to your doctor and try something else. Meds work differently on different people.
