erythromycin is the generic. Where are you getting it? It pays to shop around for prices. Why is the prescription co doing that?
I've been getting it through Prime Mail for free. Either covered by Medicare or Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I have seen that they are paying almost 300.00 for it. Received letter from them saying Medicare Part B may cover it. I will
check Walmart also I really want to know why it is so expensive. It's been around for a LONG time. Thank you for your answer kaismama.
I agree with you and it didn't used to be. The cost of medicines has skyrocketed this year. They're all saying because of the affordable care act. I think its just an excuse to get allot more money. My bp med went from 40 a month to 300 a month, its an old one too. I don't see anywhere that the act set new prices on meds. The prices went up and insurances are paying less and less. My med costs have gone from 27 a month for part D, to 40 a month for part D, and with this raise, I'm now paying 60 a month in copays. I'll also hit the donut hole faster. I really don't think part B will pay any of it. You can check with them of course.
Erythromycin 250 can be purchased through United Drug Stores in Canada for a much, much lower price.
