Triamcinolone is cortizone. Cortizone thins the skin, your face has thin skin to start with. The lady I take care of has rosacea and here's how its treated, I put metrogel on it every day, this usually keeps it under control. If it flares and she's really red, I use triamcinolone sparingly and only one day. This will take the redness out since redness is inflammation and cortizone is an anti inflammatory, but it would effect her skin if it was used regularly.
