The only official studies I find are labeled long term but are only for use of 12 months! My MD simply states he doesn't know but "assumes it's safe because I'm not dead yet". Hilarious guy. Anyone else been on this this long?
I've been on Duloxetine 60mg/day for 10 years for several reasons. Any truly LT studies available?

I have never been able to find long term studies on Cymbalta/duloxetine. I would be surprised if there was one. A big problem with the 12 month studies is that many people don’t have any side effects until they’re on it for years. I was prescribed Cymbalta/duloxetine (60 mg) for nerve pain and ended up taking it for over 10 years. After starting this medication I continued to get worse but I didn’t realize it was because of all the side effects of the medication. I’ve tapered off Cymbalta now and all the side effects are gone but now I’m tapering off the medications that my former doctor prescribed me for the side effects from Cymbalta/duloxetine. I have a new doctor who’s helping me taper off everything. It’s been a rough road but tapering off this medication was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. As far as what your doctor said, I actually felt dead when I was taking Cymbalta/duloxetine. I’m feeling alive again and it’s great to be getting my life back.
