From what I understand taking one 10mg valium should clear yours system in 5 to 8 days. But ask your doctor to be sure
I hope many people see this and give me some feed back!! I hope I can make this short as possible!! I've been going to a family outpatient clinic for almost a decade!! In March 2017, I started getting ill, ignored it til I was practically dead.
Went to ER finally, same hosp as my clinic!! I was dx'd with diverticulitis and ended up going through sev surgeries ending up with me having temporary colostomy!! Well, right off the bat, my decade old doctor clinic started treating me badly, and accusing me of breaking my contract with them, bad drug screens, etc!! I HAD BEEN GOING THROUGH some major health issues, plus my surgeries were at same hosp!! I dont even wanna get into the horrible inhumane treatment you get from nurses there!! Anyway, I went back April 24th 2018for reversal of colostomy!! OMG, was I in for a shock!! I woke up seeing my surgeon at foot of my bed, immedialely I started screaming over and over, " icant breathe" a nurse came in, scolded me by saying if I couldn't breathe I wouldn't be able to SCREAM!! Got NO HELP!! I was put in a room where I saw a phone and called my son,,another nurse heard me screaming to him come make em help me I cant breathe, again, a nurse came in and said if I didnt quit screaming she was gonna call security,,, I told her call security,,throw me out of here!! My son heard this through the phone!! Iwent for HOURS only able to get in but very little oxygen,,next day, I had a heart attack!! They did heart catheterization around 30th of April. Before procedure they gave me a 10mg valium, also I had been given one April 24th prior to my reversal!! Around 8 or 10th of May I had decade old clinic doctor appt where they did a drug screen that showed valium!! By this time I was soooo fed up with them! Out of anger, frustration and fed up with theyre lack of compassion and empathy from all id been going through, I said I will not come b ack here again!! They jumped on that and within no longer than 2 days, they sent me registered letter dropping me!! I now have O medical care and just went through major surgery in april!! I also have NO PAIN MEDICATION!! Which id been taking whole time for chronic knee and back pain and it was just a 7.5norco!! Never would that clinic even act like theyd acknowledged all id been going through past year!!
I myself do not take this Drug.
I got a lot out of this.
72 hours
How long a drug stays in your system depends on it's elimination half life.
For Valium (diazepam) the initial distribution phase is followed by a prolonged terminal elimination phase (half-life up to 48 hours). The terminal elimination half-life of the active metabolite N-desmethyldiazepam is, on average, 100 hours.
So you would actually have to account for the elimination of N-desmethyldiazepam.
It takes 5.5 x elimination half live (hours) for a medicine to be cleared from your system, therefore Valium or it's active metabolite ill be in your system for 550 hours (5.5 x 100hrs) i.e. approximately 23 days.
Where did you come find your info on half life of valium?
