My husbands doctor is weening him off Xanax. He is now on 0.25mg. Can the doctor prescribe Valium instead?
Can a dr prescribe Valium since the government is taking away Xanax?

Your husbands doctor can continue to prescribe xanex if he/she wanted too. The government isn't taking xanex away. At least not in The United States.
Valium is a longer lasting benzo, you should talk to your husbands doctor about using it, especially for weaning off xanex. I hope this helps. xx
