I have just been prescribed Propranolol for anxiety and high blood pressure. Just looked it up 2 see exactly what it was. I am wondering if the medication will make me sleepy and is it better 2 take it in the morning or at night?
Does Propranolol make you sleepy and when is the best time to take it?

I have been taking Propranolol for about 6 months, for migraines. It makes me sleepy also. I was taking it at 5am and by 1pm I was so sleepy. I mentioned this to my doctor. He said to take it at night. I am still having a problem with it making me sleepy. Even taking it at night.
Hi, i was prescribed propranolol many years ago to help with my anxiety when taking driving lessons! Long story short, it really helped me out and did not cause drowsiness. I just took mine ad lib which my dr said would be fine and it was. I had no side effects either : )
I take propanolol 60 er. I has made me gain 50 pounds, gives me aches and pains all over, I am tired all the time, I can't concentrate or remember stuff. I hate it! My doctor says I need it to lower my slightly high blood pressure and prevent migraines.
Propranolol is in a group of drugs called beta-blockers.
Propranolol is used to treat tremors, angina (chest pain), hypertension (high blood pressure), heart rhythm disorders, and other heart or circulatory conditions. It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack, and to reduce the severity and frequency of migraine headaches.
It does not matter what time of day you take the propranolol but you should take it at the same time each day for best results.
Propranolol should not make you drowsy.
