Does hydrocodone expire or does it become more potent as it ages?

Usually all meds have an expiry date, the expiry date is ascertained from the date of manufacture, & is mandatory to be mentioned on the label of the med.
Meds usually lose potency when they are have expired.
Hi, I can't be 100% sure but I really don't believe it changes it's chemical compound at all over time.-K
It's in tablet form seems like only capsules would be delicate and subject to chance. It stays on pharmacy shelves for years if not sold.
