I have read up on the side effects of Gabapentin so I was prepared for a small problem. Since day one, I have had chronic diarrhea and general weakness. Spend most of the time in bed. This is only day 4 but it is certainly not good. According to different sources, it seems to be quite common with gabapentin but I don't think that it's good for medication to have this effect. Sympathy to everyone who is having problems.

Well, the diarrhea isn't fun, but the gabapentin is so helpful for the neuropathy in my feet, I don't want to stop it. Hopefully, the diarrhea will subside.

Been on gabapentin 300 mg for 2 weeks ( severe ) it comes and goes. Imodium didn't help at one point, really got worried. Finally after several . boutsin one-day finally subsided . It's awful , week-end couldn't contact Dr. , It's the holidays. Had a time with it today, took Imodium , better. This can't be good for you. Also bad hoarseness .

I have been on gabapentin for nerve pain for 2 months. It was gradually increased and I am now on 3- 300 ml. 3 times a day. I have diarrhea daily... no pain from it or discomfort. just lose stools.. It concerns me. Other than that I have no side affects. Should I be concerned?

I have been on gabapentin 1200mg per day, and have had terrible explosive diarrhea and gas since I started taking it. I sure like to know what can be done for it.

I've been having the same problem. I've heard some people don't have diarrhea, but I had it every since I started the gabapentin. Help!!!

Same here, it's usually very early in morning and continues for long time. I take Imodium. He first bout nothing helped I was really worried.

I couldnt find anything with diarrhea but it did say gastric upset,which may be medical jargon for diarrea
