Can a doctor write 3 different Adderall scripts In a months time?

My new doctor just started me back on 30mg Adderall twice daily.
Bad effects and about 10 days later he then prescribed me 30mg XR twice daily. I needed a PA request but it was approved.
Now about another 10 days later. Would it be reasonable or OK for him to prescribe me 20mg 3 times a day. I thought back and remembered I did best and longest on 20mgs 3 times daily and he can see that in his log of my prescription medicines history.
He’s cool and easy going, I didn’t even have a struggle talking for him to help me.
Would the pharmacy fill it? Would my insurance cover it? The 2 big questions of the day

They aren't supposed to but my old psychiatrist use to. She would have the scripts so they were dated in the future so I couldn't fill the script early.

He may be cool and easy going, however he could jeapordize his license to prescribe if he prescribed Adderall after such a short time. All it would take would be a conscientious pharmacist to throw up a red flag. My suggestion is to wait until a month goes by and then start with 20mg. I also take Adderall, switched from 20mg twice daily to 30mg once a day and had to wait. I'm passing on to you what my psychiatrist told me--straight from the horse's mouth, so-to-speak. Best of luck!

He ended up giving me the 20s. I just told him the XR isn’t working and in other words making me crazy.

I got lucky though. No doubt. I think I was only able to do this on account of me just starting back out on them with a new doc. So it was like a try-out phase. If I went back next week and asked to go back on 30 irs he’d prob laugh me out of his office
