In reading customer reviews it appears there are less side effects with omeprazole.
What is the difference between omeprazole and pantoprazole Sod?

KathG; this is like compairing an apple to an orange one works better for one person or the same all you can do is try it and see how you feel, You can always change to the other and see which works the best for you we are all different.

I take pantoprazole and I'm not sure what to say. Side effects? I wasn't told to expect any and didn't. After one year I'm yet to notice if I have taken it or not except I don't throw up every morning. If that is a side effect, bring it on.

Stephen, have you had this problem long, I've had severe indigestion for years. I happen to have an x-ray done and they found my stomach up too high which their was a Hiatle Herrnia. I elected the Nissen Fondiplocation surgery with the robot. GRRRRRRRReat decision. I nolonger burp all the time and I quit throwing up and lost some weight. but for some reason the MD. has not taken me off Pantoprazole, I think i'll talk to Doc and get off it. see if something else is going on!
