I have had a serious problem that I have kept to myself for a couple months now. Why do I get diarrhea each time I have an empty stomach? I also start burping a lot. The diarrhea and burping stops once I eat something. It stops until I get hungry again.

You could have an ulcer that is reacting to the acid in your stomach that isn't being absorbed. I would see my doc if I were you.
Thanks Km, I wondered if that might be it. I had tummy pain when first waking for several months, when I did go see the gastro dr, he said those symptoms sounded like an ulcer to him. I am seeing him again on friday.
My stomach is never in pain though. I don't know if this information helps. But I will see my doctor.
I didn't have much pain at first, just a hollow achey feeling like I was really hungry.
And I have the super power of never getting diarrhea, no idea why, but I don't. I did however, feel the need of urgency to have a BM as soon as I rose, which is the closest thing to diarrhea I get and the dr said, possible ulcer. Try to avoid acidic foods and drinks, such as coffee, cooked onions tomatoes bell pepper, NSAIDS, aspirin, and alcohol and citrus fruits and juices. If it is an ulcer, those will make pain or diarrhea worse and irritate the ulcer. By avoiding these things, my pain and urgency to have a BM, has subsided, best advice I can offer. I also got some aloe juice, and took tums, it seemed to help alot.
