I got the Depo shot (through my arm) on February 7th and my fiance and I have tried having sex, but its so painful for me. Before getting the shot, I was completely fine. We changed our position and it helped but still painful. How long will this last? I do plan on stopping because I leave for boot camp in April, but, I still want to enjoy my sex life with my fiance before I leave. Has anybody tried any anti inflammatory medications OTC or prescribed? Thanks!

I am currently experiencing the same issue. It has gotten so painful I can’t even have sex with my partner anymore and I also bleed heavily after we do. I am not going to get my next injection, I have had 4 now and it does not go away. The doctors are useless at helping also (in Scotland).

Depo Provera caused pain during intercourse for me, too. It never stopped the whole time I was on the Drug. Nothing they tried, helped. This is a common side effect with Depo Provera.
