My mother gave up her two strong cocktails of bourbon & club, for Lent. She lives independently at 90 and has been enjoying cocktail hour for most of her adult life. She definitely is dependent on her alcohol but never day drinks. Only two bourbons at 5pm and sometimes wine with dinner. Do we need to be concerned with her stopping completely?
Is it dangerous to quit drinking cold turkey when you’ve enjoyed cocktail hour for 70 years?
