My elderly Alzheimer’s patient gets occasional UTIs and Bactrim, being a large pill is difficult for her to swallow. Is it safe to cut it in half and give the halves in applesauce? Or will it compromise the drug’s effectiveness?
Can one cut a Bactrim in half to make it easier for my client to swallow in applesauce?
