I just turned 50 (early this year) and I "think" I am "pre-menopausal". I need to loose 10-12lbs (not more than that right now) and it has become very hard. I just started Plenity a couple of weeks ago but I think I'm going to stop it because it makes me uncomfortably bloated to the point that I feel my belly popping out, swollen and very hard. I came across a Contrave ad and started looking for information and reviews, hence I fund this page. I've read many positive reviews and a couple not so good ones (like everything in life) but I'd like feedback from someone who like me, is in their 50's, is menopusal who is on Contrave because they are having a hard time loosing the weight. Anyone? Is it working? Side effects? Thanks in advance.
Contrave, does it really work for menopausal women?

I’m 50 and I’ve taken it for 3 years from age 44-47 then stopped for two years and I just started it again. It works for me. Helps with portion control, cravings and drinking. When I take 4 pills a day I have zero desire to drink alcohol and I loose weight. Most days I take two pills in the morning and that helps me maintain my weight loss.
Yes it does work… the first 2 weeks I felt like crap but it’s normal. Issues for me were headaches, quick to being annoyed and feeling distracted. Drink lots of water and that helps with any headaches. Also when you take a pill drink at least 2 cups of water with it… for some reason that helps as well. I bought anti nausea pills prior just in case and I’ve only had to take one 3 times in 6 months. The cravings for alcohol (wasn’t what I was looking for but it makes you not want a drink or more than 1) and snack food are under control and I’ve lost 25 pounds. I started menopause late at 54 now turning 56 soon and I had almost given up. I am very happy that my Dr suggested this as a last resort.
Thank you. If it helps with my cravings for alcohol, it will be a huge plus! Thanks for your feedback. I will give it a shot.
