I was using Slynd for almost 4 months and had a breakthrough period almost everyday. So now I have been using Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol for the last 2 weeks and has had the same results. My sex life don't exist anymore it's been very hard for me and my spouse, I intend on taking pills to stop my period and have had no success. Do you have any suggestions for me. PLEASE HELP

This was the case with me on most forms of hormonal contraception. I did manage to get some relief from bleeding, using the Depo Provera injection, but I had to have the shots closer together than recommended, & the shots caused me a lot of side effects which made sex impossible, anyway (pelvic floor myalgia, dry vagina, weight gain leading to me not feeling like sex etc).
The only way I've managed to feel good & have a healthy sex life, was to come off all hormonal contraception. I was extremely sensitive to even the non-hormonal coil, & to the cap/diaphragm, allergic to latex, & exhausted every type of contraception, as I'm very sensitive due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, & other things. I even considered having a hysterectomy, but found out that even that can cause a lot of hormonal problems. They did D&C operations, to stop me bleeding, but that only stopped things for a couple of months. I bled almost every day for 2 years, at one point.
For the last 8/9 years I've managed to learn how to use the natural method of birth control, sometimes called the rhythm method or natural cycles, I believe. It takes a couple of months to get the hang of how to chart your fertility signs every day, but once you get the knack of it, it's easy.
There is only actually about 1 week in the month/cycle when you are fertile, so for that week, we either abstain (don't have intercourse) or use a latex-free condom.
I use vitex, oil of evening primrose, & vitamin B6, to keep my hormones balances, as they were never in balance again after all the hormonal contraception, & doctors tried everything to get them back in balance. I wish I'd tried that route sooner, as I went through a lot of procedures & medications that did nothing. Those things have made a huge difference to keeping my periods regular & lighter, & greatly lessened any PMS/PMT, which used to be terrible for me. The vitex was the main one that got my periods regular again. Took a couple of months.
I hope you find something that works for you.
