I was recently prescribed amoxicillin for an ear infection and i’m taking Sronyx (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol). How far apart should I take these drugs?

The half life of Sronyx is about 24 hours, meaning that 50% will remain in your system after 24 hours so there will always be some of the drugs in your system.

You might want to talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking the combination. This interaction is rare but you might be advised to use alternative birth control along with the Sronyx while you're taking the amoxicillin.
