My12 year young Main Coon cat has conjunctivitis in both his eyes. Someone told me I should give him terramycin antibiotic ophthalmic ointment. Is this a cure for this condition or something he needs to be on for the rest of his life? Thank you.

Answers
Hi, Nannerscat!
You need to have your veterinarian determine the cause of the kitty's conjunctivitis in order to know the most effective medication. The cause could be varied from a corneal lesion, an upper respiratory infection, an allergic reaction, or another anatomical abnormality.
Best regards and I hope your cat is better soon.
