If these medications were prescribed by one DR. only, he/she is most likely to be aware of the potential interactions between the medications. If they were prescribed by different Health Care Providers, then that could be problematic.
She saw a specialist and he/she did not seem concerned.
Well, I am not a Dr., but it is obvious she is on too many medications, as I mentioned before, were all these medications prescribed by one Dr. or did other Drs. prescribed them and are aware of all that she is taking?
I would recommend a 2nd opinion and an evaluation of the medications and doses she is on.
So these were prescribed by different doctors. My mom is in and out of recovery for alcohol and RX pills and generally mentally unstable.
I need to find her a doctor who can work to pull her off of some of these. Or needs to go to a rehab that really looks at everything. I feel lost and know that a general practitioner will help her.
You need to find her a Dr. and look more in depth into the medications and interactions and how it is affecting your mother, once you have done so, discuss the rehabilitation center if needed. You need to do this rather sooner than later, but you know this.
