With Clonazepam I had body cramps all over . The physician kept upping it claiming the side effects were minimal compared to what they prescribed it for .. I was taking it 6 times a day . Have you seen happy feet that was me . I couldn’t stand still for a second. I was really exceptional in doing complex math problems in my head prior to Clonazepam. Taking it adding 2 plus 2 I had to use my fingers. Sleep non existent because whole body the muscles twitching cramping . The I had 3 degrees burns on my chins and from my stomach up to my neck. I didn’t know till I tried to take my clothes off off . I didn’t feel anything. Personally a Mack truck could have hit me I wouldn’t feel it . The best side effect was sex I was the energizer bunny hours on end with no issues. So lack of sleep I be nodding off at work driving or anytime I was sitting. With all those side effects the dr just kept increasing it . I tried to wean myself off told the physician that but that was way worse than taking the medication. 18 months later the physician finally goes we should do blood work and see if you have any liver damage? What I said after all this time ! Yes I had liver damage ct scan showed about 1/3 of my liver had damage. After my insurance was changed at work so I could go back to my regular dr that knew me and my family for a long time he helped me get off of this horrible drug! Now 12 years later I am wondering if this horrible drug destroyed my body ligaments muscles joints. I can do simple math pretty decent now most of the time. I did stop being happy feet over time . I had multiple joints replaced spinal infusion . I still can’t tell if things are hot I’ll blister and not feel it . I had broken bones and didn’t know that I had . Random body aches. I randomly fall for no reason all I get on that is the hip surgeon blaming the back surgeon vise versa . I have a tendency to believe the hip surgeon is correct along with my primary. Sex isn’t hours on end pain usually screws that up most of the time . I had multiple hernias surgeries. Multiple knee surgeries, all my fat is gone in my feet I’m literally walking on bone and have plantar fasciitis that will continue to be an ongoing issue since I’m supposed to walk because of the joint replacements . Falling scars me it happens out of the blue. I busted up teeth . Caucasians from hitting my head. Sleep a good night 6 hours a bad night none. It’s been 18 months since I been able to work . Not sure what kind of job I could actually do since I can’t sit/stand for a lengthy time before I have to lay down because my legs are numb. Can’t carry over 10 pounds to far . Above that 10 pounds it’s Hail Mary . Wagons carts or others I have to rely on constantly. Put a ramp in to get into my house. Stair lift to go to the basement. I just turned 55 and dam feel a lot older. Use canes and occasionally a walker . I have a couple of mobility scooters. Try to not use them because the jarring on uneven surfaces. I wish I never was put Clonazepam or even seen the quack that prescribed it .
Hi, Cindy!
This is from the literature here on clonazepam and it looks like your symptoms could potentially be caused by the medication. All kinds of body aches have been reported. You might want to ask your doctor or pharmacist about this.
"Musculoskeletal
Common (1% to 10% of users): Muscle weakness, myalgia (muscle pain)
Frequency not reported: Ankle pain, arthralgia, back pain, foot pain, knee pain, knee swelling, jaw pain, leg cramps, leg pain, lumbago, muscle cramps, muscle pain, nape pain, shoulder pain"
I take clonazepam. I did not know this. I have fibromyalgia, so perhaps clonazepam is responsible for SOME of my pain? Dunno. I'd love to hear from users, present or past, of clonazepam about their experience (or not) of pain with Klonopin.
