I would like to know if shortness of breath or feeling like you have to catch your breath all the time, even when not doing anything, is also symptom of anxiety? This symptoms I have happened 24 hours everyday. This is the main reason why I felt like it’s not anxiety although I’ve done a lot of physical test and everything came back normal and negative which I’m very grateful for. But I’m still experiencing this problem everyday, and I just don’t understand. Hopefully to get some answers from here that can help me understand what I’m going through. Thank you.

I do suffer from anxiety as well and yes, shortness of breath and difficulty swallowing are symptoms of anxiety, to name a couple.
Hello, is your short of breath happens on and off in 24 hours everyday?
Not everyday as I take meds and have learnt to control it a bit, but yes, if I do become anxious by any specific situation it comes with shortness of breath, dry mouth and hard to swallow (saliva of course).
I deal with short of breath even without exertion or no situation that should trigger it. It’s everyday from the time I wake up. It became a routine. I’ve done all lung tests X-ray,ct, pft…and other physical tests, and doctor can’t find anything which I’m very thankful for, but still they can’t help me with my issue. This is why I want to know if this kind of problem is common to people with anxiety disorder. The kind of issue I’m dealing with everyday 24 hours, not just when people are having anxiety attack.
