You can't do anything to speed the process. The half life of the drug is what is important. It should be out of your system in about a day. What happened to you when you took it?

I took only one 250 mg and 6 hours later, I had such severe abdominal pain. The next day which was over 24 hours later, I had severe throat pain and refux when I had nothing in my stomach. Now two days later, I am starting again with the heartburn and I have not eaten anything. I had heartburn 37 years ago wit my pregnancy. That was the last time. This is the worst ... I will never take this medication again. I almost went to the ER.

I have only taken 3 tablets of Ciprofloxacin! On the first 11:00am on the morning. I went to bed 12 hours after and felt like I had 30 cups of coffee and after 2 days I thought I was dying! I thought I had food poisoning, I had palpitations on the first night and it got worse.
My legs started to feel I had dead weights on them, burning at the bottom of my feet, disalusional, feeling hot! I have always had low blood pressure but the doctor after 3 days said it was elevated by quite a lot and my pulse! I also developed chronic diarrhea, that had me in the loo for at least 16 times that I could not hold! I was breathless after stopping the tablets for 2 days and only taking 3? I cannot describe but was the worse I have ever felt and the diarrhea was like water I took 6 imodium which is the maximum dose and still the same! I originally saw the doctor for an ear infection but was not so bad but could not sleep on that side! Please don't take this drug as they are only given if you cannot take any other drugs. I have never had a reaction with any other antibiotics, I don't drink or take any other medications! This was hell from hell!!

I am so sorry that you got so sick from that pill, cipro. Make sure you tell all of your medical providers about your terrible reaction. I also had a fast heart beat. It's the worst reaction to a drug. Never again .. Drink lots of fluids and flush that junk out of your system.
