i cannot see a doctor now but i have a prior cephalexin prescription dated 2010. Is it still effective or safe?

You probably dont' have enough to take a full course of antibiotics, and not taking enough won't get rid of bacteria, plus not ridding you of the infection. The other thing is how do you know you need an antibiotic?

The Shelf life is three years. So they are still effective.
