These drugs taken in combination can cause major drug interactions. Not recommended.
Hello, just checking my profile and saw this question. I agree that the dosage should be monitored as a precaution, but there are as far as I know, no contradictions in taking Vyvanse and Prozac. I was diagnosed later in my life with adult ADD, or type 1 ADD, not the hyperactive type but much more the lack of focus and motivation, and have taken both Prozac and Vyvanse. Vyvanse contains one amphetamine salt,( Lisdexamphetamine, if I remember correctly) and Prozacs active ingredient is( Fluoxetine HCL), which from my personal experience, has many of the same "stimulant like" effects as the amphetamine class drugs, although the effects are more akin to that of cocaine, than the amphetamines. Either way you look at it both medications are helpful in treating ADD, but blood pressure and signs of mania or hyperactivity should be looked out for, as well as changes in mood, which is particularly important to watch for in young adults taking antidepressants and or stimulants. Hope this helps. God bless.
It is recommended to be monitored, please read more on: https://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=1115-648,1475-2533, take care & be well.
