am being treated for polymyalgia, (second bout in past ten years) and was given steroids about a month ago, and short term memory has become noticeably worse since taking these tablets. Am also on medication for high blood pressure/high cholestorol.
Can prednisone cause short term memory loss, even on dose of 10 - 12 mg?

I am being prescribed 500 mg mycophenolate for sarcoidosis. I am experiencing a good deal of memory loss. Is this normal with this drug? I am also taking prednisone. I know that it contributes to memory loss. I am afraid of these two together. I would rather be sick and have a brain to use than not.
Yes - memory loss has been reported with prednisone. Talk with your doctor.
