I heard that low dose naltrexone (4.5mg) is used for rheumatoid arthritis since it is used for auto immune diseases such as this. Can naltrexone be used with methotrexate & remicade?

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is sometimes used alongside medications like methotrexate and Remicade (infliximab) in people with rheumatoid arthritis. Some patients report benefits, but since both methotrexate and Remicade affect the immune system, you should always check with your rheumatologist before combining them. Your doctor can make sure there are no risks or interactions specific to your condition.
I'm on both MTX and LDN with good results including lower ESR and CRP. Pain level dropped from 8-9 in most joints to 1-3 in fingers and toes mainly. No severe side effects except occasional fatigue and minor stomach issues.
I also have RA and some other autoimmune problems. Have taken methotrexate for years. I wouldn't take the naltrexone without discussing it with the rheumatologist. That's me. You're taking serious meds. Good luck.
