I weight 105 lbs, am 72 years old, have resistant cold/some chest sounds; Zpak did not cure condition but considerably better. I consider case now not to be severe, but still not well. I am worried about taking the whole
prescribed amount of 875 mg because of my size and age. I also take Lipitor and Diltiazem.
Can I cut my 875/125 Amox/K Clav pill in half, take 1/2 q 8 hours?

Answers
Amoxicillin/Clavulanate potassium can be broken into half, but before you take it seek medical advice as you also do take the other meds such as Lipitor & Diltiazem, hope this helps?
