If given enough, it could be used without alcohol. I've been taking it for a while and it's a massive caution not to take it with alcohol. If it's not something you're used to taking.

I suppose one could use cyclobenzaprine as a date rape drug. It can cause a person to become drowsy, dizzy, and/or confused. Also, it is a skeletal muscle relaxant. If you were given enough of it I guess you could become an easy target. I hope you were able to give the police enough information to catch the person who did this to you. My experience with being possibly a victim of a new date rape drug that can lead to serious consequences. I made a bad decision to drink, soI called a tax.i. I blacked out from apx. 1250am until 208 am when I was being pulled over for swerving a stranger car; with him in the passenger seat. I got pulled over then transfered to the jail where I blew a .13. Then they took blood from both my arms, and I have marks to prove it. I tested positive for effexor on the night I got arrested for driving a strangers car, and blacked out for apx. :60-90 min. I do not have a prescription for that, and I've never abused pills, but am taking responsibility for my actions. I pleaded guilty to my second DUI, and feel horrible for deciding to take that first drink. The thing that bothers me the most in this situation, is that I was driving a stranger's car, he asked to go to the bathroom, and never returned.
I know I'm guilty of being behind the wheel, but I truly would recommend letting it be known that the prescription Effexor, may just be the new date rape drug. Pass this on, and I will keep on going on my journey. 20 days jail, 2 yrs supervised probation, Apx. 2,000 fines, Court fines, and treatment; believe me, I will never go to the bar again... I'm one drink away from being an alcoholic... I love people, just thought I'd share to get the word out. Don't leave your drink out of your sight, and don't plan on driving under the influence. Idaho and Oregon are cracking down on DUI's, so DO NOT DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE, AND BE CAREFUL OF CRACKDOWN ON DUI OF MEDICATION! Please pray for me... You sometimes have to pay the "system" to live in your state Get out while you caN, and follow your dreams and purposes!
