Yes, absolutely!
I have been using the Butrans patches (buprenorphine) for well over 7 years and I shower with them all the time. When you get out of the shower gently, but firmly, press your towel over the patch to remove the moisture, but don't rub it. If the patch should become loose around the edges you can use first aid tape to keep the patch on.
I understand you're not supposed to let hot water directly hit the patch
Yes. Make sure that they are secure by applying firm pressure with your hand for about a minute. The heat from your hand will help with adhesion.
