Itching lasted 3/4 weeks with me and got progressively worse over those weeks but went away over night and Im so glad that i pulled through and continued taking the medication. Personally, I think the benefits outweigh any temporary side affects. If the itching is keeping you up at night take a bendaryl, it might no help with the itching but atleast it will put you back to sleep!
I did a quick search of the clinical studies and at 15 mg and 20 mg less than 3% had a problem with pruritus (itching, skin irritation). At all other doses the incidence was less than 1%.
As with all studies, you might be in that small percentage that has a problem. You should contact your doctor and discuss your reaction.
