I’ve been taking lamotrigine for a few years now and it definitely helps me with my moods. I was prescribed this medication instead of depakote which caused me to cause me to gain weight really fast.

Lamotrigine (Lamictal) is a mood stabilizer very commonly used to treat BiPolar disorders.
I've taken 100mg twice a day for many years... it's been very effective for controlling my moods and I've had no side effects.
Every person responds differently to medications but it's certainly worth trying.
