Best time to take levothyroxine if exercising in the morning?

I want to exercise in the morning, I used to do this fasted but I don't feel great and would prefer to eat something light before workout. However, I can't eat anything for an hour after taking Levothyroxine. I've tried the last couple of nights taking at night time 2 hours after eating, but I've been waking up around 2 or 3am and having trouble falling back to sleep. I would normally sleep through the night.
Is there a workaround for this? Should I maybe set an alarm for an in-between time like 2am to take Levothyroxine if I were to eat something at say 5:30am before the gym? That way I don't have to worry about eating before bed or in the morning. I've been kind of agonizing about this all day. Alternatively, if I wake up at say 5am, could I eat a banana 30 minutes later then go to the gym?

I've taken it for 20 yrs and found that most of those "rules" are more suggestions and not completely set in stone. You could always take it after you've finished your morning exercise. That would be much better than interrupting your sleep cycle.

I totally agree with you, sleep should not be interrupted
