Helping a relative who has been a drinker for 15+years, last two months has been binge drinking all hours of the day and night. Received naltrexone and librium to help obtain sobriety. Relative took first dose of naltrexone at 8 pm, woke up at 2 am with night sweats, drank 2 oz of vodka and was up until 6 am and took a librium. Takes librium throughout the day and night to help with withdrawal symptoms of anxiety and shaking.
When is the best time to take naltrexone (50mg) morning or evening?

Hello Helpful relative,
I first want to commend you for helping a relative, that's awesome!
Sorry I don't know what happen to the rest of my post to you. Anyway its best to take it in the morning if there's a problem with sleep as one side effect can be insomnia. You can also take it an hour before you drink to help curb cravings etc.
I wish you and your relative the best with much peace and a smooth outcome.
Best regards,
deliteful
Hello deliteful,
My relative is also dealing with insomnia from cutting back on alcohol, so the information you shared is much appreciated. Thank you for your prompt reply!
I'm just with high hopes everything works out well for your relative and you as well :)
Hi Helpful Relative,
Re naltrexone, I've changed to taking it mid-afternoon. If your relative has a daytime job, this advice would apply. As a nighttime drinker, I've found it has it's best effects before you start drinking. Or anytime BEFORE you start drinking. Hope this helps!
Good luck.
