Have used librium for alcohol withdrawal for past two weeks. Now down to 10 mg a day phase. Took last 10 mg yesterday around 4pm (Ireland).
When is it safe to drink alcohol after taking librium?

It is 'safe' for you to have a 'small' drink now, but take it steady as it will be a shock to your system, now you have been without alcohol for a moderate period of time. Were you prescribed Acamprosate or Naltrexone to help with the cravings?? It would be a shame to go back to alcohol so soon, but if the time isn't right for you don't beat yourself up. Have you heard the saying "I fall down 7 times, but I get up 8". Best wishes to you
Why you have been doing so good please talk to your doctor and just say the cravings are getting to you way to much. etc is there anything else you can do. give them a call as soon as possible but anyway if the time is not right Please first try and get ahold of the doctor it is your life and you have to be able to control it But to be fair if you drink a bit easy anytime now the librium is pretty much out of your system. but to be really safe don't tie a big one on until monday. wish you all the best you have been without for a good period and it well be hard for the dr to trust that your stoping did you think of the ER AND SEE A DOCTOR THERE. WOULd like you to LIVERlonger my friend.
