Hi guys and gals... tomorrow, Friday, the 18th I am having my long awaited Radio Frequency Ablation on my back due to my unstable sacroiliac joint which has caused me so very much pain. The test procedure that was done last Friday, required by my insurance company to validate the need for this procedure was successful. So there is no reason why this should not be successful. Being off opiates now for 3 months has certainly brought this pain to the forefront. So... please guys, I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers. The procedure is scheduled for 4:00 pm tomorrow afternoon. It must be done under general anesthesia. So... just wanted I let you guys know and ask for your prayers. I will let you guys know how everything went when I am able.
Thanks so much in advance. Fondly yours... pup
Asking my DC friends for prayers for success of my procedure?

Thanks to you all... Candebeseen, Jaime, Renee, Help me fromHawaii... Tee, my dear girl... how are you?? Sounds like you are doing OK...
I am doing much better... hurt quite a bit this am but now on Toradol and the steroid has kicked in that was injected around the ablated nerve endings... so tonight, cautiously i feel quite good. I did have to take 2 Vicodin last night... woke up at 3:00 am and was in intense pain. I was in tears... did not know what to do... so I opened my home safe where I put them and took two. They must have worked... i fell asleep quickly... don't know if it was psychological or the analgesic effect but i got to sleep quickly after. I was not awake long enough to even know if I felt a buzz... thank God!!! so, I flushed them all down the toilet today since I am now able to take the Toradol.
Have The President's Cup on from Australia (Golf)... will try to get to bed as soon as I get to you Patticakes!!! You are my next email... thanks so much to you all.
You are my family and I love you all dearly
Yeah... the American's just won the President's Cup!!!
Love u, pup. I'm here, not by much. Lotta pain and difficult to move around. I'll be back soon. Hang in there, Pup.
Love ya,
Tee
Hey there Tee. So so sorry u r still in pain. Wish there was something I could do to help. Give it a few more days and remember to take your pain meds around the clock whether you have pain or not... this way u will b on top of the pain instead of chasing it. I DO hope the pain subsides soon.
I actually woke up with ZERO pain today... what a relief!!! I am getting a little bit sore right now from probably doing too much. So I shall rest a tad.
Thanks for the update dear Tee. Are u still n the hospital?? I will keep u n my thoughts and Prayers. Love,
Pup and Tee
I am sorry I haven't been here to wush you well. I was at an Equestrian event with my daughter. glad you are out of pain Pup. I am sorry you had to deal with "temptation" but you did well and I am proud of you!

Thanks RunnerMom... I am okay... woke up with NO pain but as the day has progressed I am having some discomfort... took a Toradol so should be kicking in soon... flushed those nasty Vicodin down the toilet and took the refill bottle and script to my friend's house... he is the one who initially took me to my first sub doc appointment. I guess I should have saved a couple for my second procedure in two weeks... on the other side of my back for those nerves to be ablated... oh well... I do have a refill but I think the left side will be better as my right side was causing me all the problems... we shall see... now that I know what to expect I may preload with a couple of extra sub strips earlier in the day so they won't keep me awake.
I wish Tee was experiencing more relief... her procedure was an actual surgery so it is understandable that she is in more pain... I just hope that she gets some relief soon.
Thanks for all of your well wishes everyone... it means so much to me and to Tee... love you all... di
I second that emotion, Pup! I truly second all you just said, just needed your energy to type it. I'll make up to you!
My love to all,
Tee
No need to make it up to me dear Tee... you just get better... OK???
Last night was the first night in months and months that I have not had to go to bed with an ice pack!!! Wow!!! Praise God!!! Love to all...
so glad you two are on the mend. Pup, I was stunned when you said you have to work tomorrow, but relieved too. The word ablation sounds so painful, but I think it means they killed the nerve or something right? Tee, how long before you know if the stomach pace maker is working. I am so glad both of your procedures are over, pup, will keep you in my prayers for text one. I am watching "The Walking Dead, " but will be back soon. New episode comes on next. Be painfree my friends. Patti
Thanks Patti... I did not really have a "surgical" procedure so to speak as I do not have an incision... but I was done in a surgery center with a light general anesthetic... there were times when I was awake to tell them where I felt the impulse though I do not remember thanks to the amnestic effect of the Versed. Others times I was fully asleep with propofol. What I has was called an RFA... radio frequency ablation... probes inserted under fluoroscopy guided to the nerve roots causing the pain... the RFA waves then basically killed the nerve roots... unfortuantely they will grow back in a couple of years... sometimes he pain comes with it sometimes not... we will just have to see... I just know I should be pain free for a couple of years... then I might be facing back surgery... hope not... but only time will tell... maybe my Pilates in between will help strengthen my core enough... who knows... time will tell... okay folks I must go for the night... office work... and then bed... early work morning... love and thanks to all...
If you ladies will ow me, I'll send you my number and we can talk then for bit. It's up to you. I don't have much strength so Stormy is still gonna do my updates for me. I need to lay down but I'll be awake for a bit.
Love,
Tee

Hi everyone... I am home and doing well.. Quite a bit of pain... Constant ice packs. But the procedure was viewed as a big success by the doc. So I will wait until the healing takes place. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for you thoughts, prayers, and support. It is so difficult when one lives alone and has to have something like this done. Thanks so much for being there for me. I will keep you posted... God Bless You All and thanks for your well wishes...
Glad you're home! Keep us posted! So glad it was a success!
Rest well and heal!

Hi guys... thanks Maso and RM... am in quite a bit of pain. Told not to take Toradol tonight because of possibility of hematoma forming... which is unfortunate because toradol has an efficacy equal to morphine. Am waiting for call from my sub doc. While I was sleeping at my friend's house after the procedure she ran out to get pain pills script filled. I told her I did not want pain pills but she ran out to get them while I was asleep for "just in case" during the night. She does not know of my opiate problem. I guess she thought she was doing what a friend should do??? So I have these pain pills here but I am not craving and DO NOT want to take any of them. So I have continuous ice over the site. Will wait for sub doc to call. I feel so all alone right now. My friend brought me back here about an hour ago. She has no idea and is not the kind of friend with whom I would share my addiction problem. So I am just laying here waiting for my sub doc to call.
It may be a very long night. I can't wait for tomorrow to come around so I can take Toradol. I know I could take more suboxone but it will keep me up all night. What to do??? I feel so all alone... maybe a little pit party going on. I just hurt... I will be strong... thanks for listening...
Pup, so glad you made it home, and are already on the way to recovery. I may be staying an extra night bc of the severe pain level I'm at. I'll have Liz get in touch soon.

Hi pup! Once more, here we are, trying to send well wishes & good vibes to someone who's bravely pushing forward. This procedure will be successful, pup, & you'll feel so much better soon! In a short while, you'll forget all the anxiety & be able to focus on recuperating & feeling better. You've already had a test procedure done; the next time will be a piece of cake! :)
I'll think of you often later today & wonder how you're doing, pup.
Good luck to you also, tee! I've never met so many strong & resolute people before I found this website. Please try to relax; take slow, deep breaths.
I'll pray to Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, for help with both of you ladies. I'll send a white light to you.
All the best of success & better health!
Love, Wendy :)
