It’s been about 4 months since I got the arm implant birth control and I got my period again. I’ve always had extremely irregular cycles even before the birth control but this first period after it has been accompanied by much more dramatic symptoms than any other period I used to have when I did get them. Is this normal?
How does the arm implant birth control affect periods?

Answers
Yes, it can make things pretty erratic. I bled for a year, almost continually, before giving up & taking it out. Doctors persuaded me to give it a year. Most of the time the bleeding was quite light for me, but it did have times when it got heavier.
