I'm trying to eventually get off all prescription medications. I'm transitioning from clonazepam to diazepam and then will stop the diazepam after a while. But I have also been on Wellbutrin for the last 5 years. I'd really like to wean off that and wondering if anyone else has done this and what it was like? I'm talking Wellbutrin type antidepressants, not SSRI's.
Has anyone weaned off Wellbutrin after being on it for 5+ years?

Hi. :). Yes you can successfully wean off of wellbutrin. I was on 200 mgs twice a day. I went down to 150 twice a day then 100 twice a day. Then 100 once a day. Then just quit. I had no side effects. And I did it fairly quickly because I wasn't getting any sleep. I wish you the best of luck. :). Getting off of meds isn't easy and I have done many. Wellbutrin was the easiest of meds I quit. I think that you will do just fine :)
