... stigma about benzos but some of us need it to function and be able to even leave the house. I believe that as long as you don't abuse it and take the prescribed dosage that it should be accepted by society
Is anyone take Valium on a daily basis and what dose helps you? I realize that there is a lot of?

I was prescribed valium for facial muscle relaxation due to TMJ or other facial issue, and subsequently to address chronic stress symptoms. Benzos work, but the difficulty in withdrawing from them should make them extremely rarely used. It is not an issue of abuse, most of us take our prescriptions as indicated by the prescribing doctor. BUT benzos will create dependency, and when used long term, you need to increase the dose. When I was needing a third increase of Valium to control my chronic stress, I told my doctor I wanted to find alternatives to valium, as I was not willing to continue increasing the dose. I have started the taper of valium, and I think it is worst than the condition I originally started using it for. Propranolol and hydroxyzine have helped with the chronic stress and benzo taper. I have also started meditation (YouTube based) and it has been very helpful in dealing with the symptoms of chronic stress and bezo taper. I encourage you to do research and find non-drug strategies and other medications that are not difficult to stop, and that may help with your particular symptoms.
