I’ve been on buspirone since July of last year. It just isn’t helping my anxiety. I need to take a small dose of clonazepam daily to feel slightly human. The doctor suggested we switch to Effexor. My sister takes it with good results, so I’m hoping it will also work for me. But I’m scared to switch as I’ve tried 2 SSRIs before buspirone without relief. It’s been an ongoing struggle for 2 years. I heard Effexor also helps pain….and I am recovering from an injury that occurred last August. Does anyone have experience with switching and having success with both pain and anxiety relief?
Has anyone switched from buspirone to Effexor with good results for pain and anxiety?

I don’t know about the pain, but Effexor helped with my anxiety tremendously!
Thank you. Switching to Effexor will be my next step if I don’t start feeling better soon. We recently added Deplin because I have the MTHFR gene mutation. I’d like to give that a chance to do something, before switching yet again to another anxiety med.
