Hi, I started 25mg Zoloft about 2 months ago, after the first month I increased it to 37.5mg- I’m beyond exhausted. Just saw my doc who recommended going back down to 25mg as I’m very sensitive to ALL psych meds. I did see improvement on the 25mg. Has anyone else had this low dose help depression? I’ve tried Effexor, Pristiq, and Wellbutrin & Prozac which did NOTHING. In fact the Wellbutrin put me in the hospital. I’m at a loss & hoping lowering to the 25mg will eventually cause the fatigue to go away. I take around 5pm- this is the only time I can seem to remember.
Has anyone had success on 25mg Zoloft?

I just started zoloft 25mg and i don't know if it's working for me. It's only been a week, I take it in the morning because that's when I feel anxious and i take .25 xanax on top of it. The side effects are ridiculous for me, so much nausea all day and insomnia at night despite taking ambien CR. I am hoping the low dose works because I am scared of an increase because of the symptoms.
Let me know how you do and good luck!
I’m still only taking 25mg, I’d say it’s helped my depression 70%. I did have very restless sleep the first few weeks but mentally felt better after about 2 weeks. I still have no motivation & am tired but not completely exhausted. So for now I’m sticking with it as nothing else I’ve taken before helped at all... the nausea for me was gone in a few weeks.
Well how are you doing now? Im on 25mg of zoloft... been about 20 days. I started to notice a little change a few days ago but not sure how well this is working. I was thinking of going to 37.5 mg being maybe im not close enough to the therapeutic dose. The side effects have been insane..im very nervous if I increase... the side effects will return with a vengeance. Its been a while hopefully you have an update
I’m still on the 25mg, I’m still also a bit tired but unfortunately my body will never lose that side effect. When I’m PMSing I do notice my mood does go down, ocd gets worse & slightly more anxiety but I can’t even take birth control pills because they make me crazy depressed. I’d say the 25mg has helped about 70% otherwise, no other side effects. Give it a good full month before you increase, some people do better on less, I’m one of them, but we never know until we try...
I can only speak for myself, Zoloft wasn't good for me. I have had serotonin syndrome so had to come off all meds. Have you heard of Trintellix? It's a lower dose but seems to be highly effective in most cases. It's not the same as other meds
I wish I could be more help but please stay away from cymbalta. It's absolutely ridiculous to come off of.
Have you had side effects? I’ve tried multiple meds & this one helps a bit, I’m just damn exhausted!
