Doctors may prescribed higher than recommended doses in some cases but it's done off-label. More studies need to be done to determine safety and efficacy.
I know a few people on 300mg where Psychs have specially prescribed. Wondered if there were others. Been on 200mg for 20 years and not working so well anymore, mainly due to SIBO.
It's also possible that the sertraline is "pooping out". It happens commonly with antidepressants after long term use.
Yes. tachyphylaxis. It’s definitely still working, just need an increased dose.
The maximum dose is of 200 mgs.
