I've been on 50 mg for one week now and notice a little bit of a difference in my appetite. No weight loss though. I still have an appetite, but this helps me curb the binging a little. Was hoping someone could share some comments here,,,
Has anyone taken Naltrexone for binge eating disorder and weight loss?

I was recently prescribed a low dose of Naltrexone (25 mg) in the morning to help with weight loss. This is not combined with Wellbutrin. I've been taking this for about a week and have noticed a huge difference in the amount of food I'm eating, as well as with sugar cravings. I get very hungry, as usual, but fairly soon after I begin eating, about half way through a meal maybe, I start to feel very full, to the point that I stop eating. My stomach feels so full that I just can't continue. So far I've lost 5 lbs. in about 7 days. I have not given up anything at all, food wise. Additionally, I have no side effects but I am thirsty and I am craving grapes. I just don't eat very many of them! I have a bit of a headache and I don't know if that's from naltrexone. I really hope this continues. It's like a miracle. Everyone's brain reacts differently to drugs. This one seems to really be working for me.
Hi, I just started taking this drug this morning called contrave. It's also got Wellbutrin in it. They say people are losing weight and helps with cravings. Hopefully it will work for me or I'm getting bypass surgery
