Since being put on this lisinopril from being a fairly healthy weight I've gained from 12/13stone to nearly 20st in couple of years,I've since retired and can barely walk, docs just tell me to lose weight ,believe me I'm trying, they put me on slimming pills that didn't work, but now I'm reading it could be the 20g lisinopril,I was on another that made my ankles swell like balloons and they took me of it and my ankles went back to normal,I've never been this size in my life, one doc told me to go on diet of ,800cals daily but I am eating healthy, done all the diets but still gaining, got a wardrobe full of clothes that don't fit, hating myself each time I look in mirror, sick of being told I'm fat
Anyone else gained lots of weight since using lisinopril?

My weight has fluctuated from overweight to perfect weight in cycles over the years since my iliac surgery and high blood pressure medication for malignant hypertension that necessitated a trial by error to find the right combo of high blood pressure medications. Current I am at perfect weight since adjusting my eating habits. lisinopril is an oldie global medication that works for me along with other BP medications that took several days during my surgery and recovers to finally lower my BP to perfect levels. Don’t give up on what your doctor prescribed using lisinopril but you may need other pills fine tuned to work properly.
