I was on 25 mg of Seroquel and it made me extremely drowsy and because of it, I had visual and audio hallucinations.
Has anyone experienced hallucinations while taking Seroquel?

At the time of me using seroquels years ago, I had mass sleeping problems so I decided to try them out and see if they would help. On two separate occasions I visually hallucinated twice. Both occasions I was awake but extremely drowsy, and it definitely wasn’t a dream because I was aware, just in a very calm state of mind and movement. I kept seeing a huge word with blue, red, and green letters that would keep popping up, taking up my whole sight. The whole background would be black like if it were in a midnight sky, with also beautiful blue, red, and green fireworks surrounding the word. Instead of feeling like I actually seen that in front of me, it instead felt like my mind zoned off into another world and was seeing things that felt like a real dream. When I was seeing that, my mind was completely calm and I wasn’t freaking out that I was seeing something, I didn’t even fully acknowledge that I was seeing that until the next day when the medicine wore off.
But I do remember I was indoors the entire time and that visual image popped up at least 10 times in just an hour or two. On another occasion, I kept seeing a huge text conversation, with one message looking like it had a water drop in the center of it (the words that were under the tiny pool of water were huge and zoomed in on). That visual also kept popping into my mind even without me intentionally thinking about it. I honestly never knew what the message in that hallucination or the big beautiful word said. Due to my hardcore sleeping troubles I was taking two 600mg.
I had a psychotic episode unfortunately and needed to be hospitalized.

Hi, grace!
"Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Apathy, bruxism, confusion, delusions, depersonalization, hallucinations"
Although hallucinations are rare they have been reported in a very small number of users. Seroquel at low doses is often prescribed for sleep disorders and this is why you were drowsy.
Your doctor can help you differentiate whether the hallucinations were related to taking the medication or from another underlying cause.
