I take two capsules nightly. Some times I do not drink much liquid when taking the medicine. If I have to burp or something of that sort, it feels like the powder works it's way up my throat and out of my nose. Bad burning sensation.
Has anyone experienced burning after swallowing nortriptyline?

I have used 2 different formulations for this drug, one is in a two tone white and orange capsule, the other is slightly larger and in a green capsule. I have only had this issue with the green version. I try to eat something after I take it, basically trying to bury it. Idk if it helps or I just think it does.
I have been experiencing strange burping that is somewhat painful when I don't take it with enough water. I take 2 capsules at night, as well. I will burp for up to an hour after. I try to stay upright after I take it for awhile because I think this helps reduce the belching. It doesn't happen all the time, so I find this belching strange too. It's not listed as a side effect.
Yes! I have experienced the same total discomfort and almost gave up on it!!! Someone suggested taking a tbsp of olive oil with it each time and I've had NO trouble since!!! Any kind of oil will solve this!
miniackj; If that is happening you need to drink enough water to get it out of your throat that well solve your problem drink enough water to make sure they are all the way down.
