Banraxy pharmaceuticals makes the pink generic med. I had to get my script changed to dif mgs because of there not being any adderall anywhere. Tis hard to get. Anyone else not like this brand besides the fact that the generic brand of this med sucks anyways ?
Anyone else dislike the pink generic adderall ?

I thought something was wrong with me when I received the round pink E 345. My script for Adderall 30mg twice daily was usually a football shaped light peach/orangish color (color like the St. Joseph’s baby aspirin my parents gave me when I was sick as a child) and the last two times I’ve had my Adderall 30mgs filled they are round pink pills & I might as well have taken baby aspirin since it did not work at all! My son is also on 30 mgs tablets & he also noticed that they barely had any effect on him too! I know we have had an adderall shortage awhile ago but if this is the why it will be in the future then, I might as well use the money & buy some Pepsi, Coca Cola, or Dr. Pepper since the effect on me is the same…this is so totally wrong & harmful to those who need it to function in the world!
It’s not just you; the pink ones are horrible. I personally notice they’re less potent and for me they carry horrible side effects (alopecia: my hair falls out in a very specific spot on my frontal lobe. Odd. It’s clearly an allergy to a filler they use. I personally stick with Sandoz E 404 30mg tabs + 30 mg capsules. )
Just curious, how are you able to request a specific generic? Do you contact your insurance or the pharmacy? Also, if I were to do that I’m sure they would suspect me of being paranoid but I’m still considering it since the pills they currently dispense fluctuate so often and are never consistent.
I can't stand these pink Adderall. And one month they even gave me these little white ones. Both the pink and white ones give me horrible headaches, stomach aches and seem to make me more sleepy than I was before I took the medicine. This has effected my ability to work and focus. It has also led to me becoming increasingly depressed. I literally feel like I have no clue what is happening in my own life after being on these for a month. It should not even be legal to change out a medicine like this with no warning. I've talked to several other people and they are having similar side effects. This is not the same medicine as the orange ones. Too many people are having awful side effects to these .
The only one that I feel works properly is the Teva Pharmaceutical Brand. I always call my local Walgreens and let them know that I am getting ready to see my Psychiatrist and they generally have it on hand when he texts the prescriptions in. The rest are not good and the pink ones actually have a coating similar to the now retired Brand Name 30mg tablets. The coating makes my tongue swell up and it makes for a miserable 90 days. They still have the original Barr pharmaceuticals logo on them. I can’t take more than 60mgs a day or I will eventually get a UTI. I’ve been on this dosage for over 10 years and it still works properly. It’s insane that people are getting like 120 mgs a day and the pharmacy fills the script. I also can’t take the extended release Adderall Brand Name either as it might start working way to late and screw up my sleep. Plus my insurance charges me like a $400.00 copay.
The pharmacy knows that I get these every 90 days and they have been very good about having them in stock if I call them about a week out before my appointment.
Mikey mike 383 can you please tell me what state you live in and where you got those pink Adderall with the e345 on it. Epic pharma took over Core pharma’s formulation. Believe it or not the pink Adderall work for me and tea does not. IF ANYONE LIVES IN NEW JERSEY AND HAS RECENTLY GOTTEN PINK 30mg ADDERALL RECENTLY, PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUOTE. To everyone, we all have different reactions to these generics because the fillers and binders are different depending on the pharmaceutical company. I’ve been researching this for months, as I have been suffering for a long time trying to find a good alternative generic. Thanks everyone for the help if you can offer any insight
I'm one of the people who used to say to anybody asking this sort of question, "Of course the generics are the same, they HAVE to be" but not any more! 1st of all I've looked up some information and found out that not only can the fillers be completely different but much more importantly, the active ingredient has a certain "tolerance" that it has to adhere to and the tolerance can be pretty substantial! I don't have any actual numbers on adderall but for EXAMPLE ONLY if the main ingredient HAS to be amphetamine salts 30 mg (+/- 5mg) then a generic could actually be selling a 30 mg pill that is actually only a 25 mg. That being said, adderall is notorious for having some horrible, and some excellent, generics.
The orange "footballs" as people call them, are actually a generic form by Teva Pharmaceuticals but are THE preferred choice by most people while some other forms have been said by many to be so bad they're useless! It seems like the disparity in adderall at least, is something that should be looked into perhaps, by the FDA but in the meantime you'll have to ask your pharmacist or see which pharmacy carries the brand that you prefer.
I been on ADDERALL for 15 years I use the orange football shape 30’s 3 times a day. I got a refill and got these pink round pill with 345 stamped on it. They are the worst excuse to even dare this is any form of adderall!!!
These are so week someone needs to take the pill maker to court. I can’t afford to or I would do so...
Put people that are in need in a very bad position. To maybe get maybe close to attempting to do the same I had to take 6 of them and still not the same. Good luck to everyone that the pharmacist doesn’t tell you hey are you ok with a different brand your normal brand we don’t carry no more. Problem solved I would of not excepted those pink round useless pills and went to a pharmacy that did carry the orange football shaped ones!!! Lesson learned!!
The pink coating on adderall tastes like baby aspirin. You may not know what they taste like. Im old lol and still remember that taste. Its pretty bad.
Awful reaction--- dizzy, can't focus, heart racing, queezy.
I don't know how this is allowed to be prescribed.
I can relate to your side effectsI am currently going threw the same thing. Calling my Dr first thing Monday morning
I really do not like this generic version at all it makes me feel very anxious and gives me chest pain... anyone else feels similar symptoms?
By pink, I assume you mean Corepharma. I prefer the orange football shaped pills manufactured by Teva. I take the 30 mg tablet. And although over the years I have found this brand of generic Adderall to change, and definitely is less potent than it once was, it seems still be better than others that are on the market today and my Pinyan
I just took this brand for the first time 20 minutes ago. I never have headaches, maybe a few times a year. I've just got the most unbelievable headache. I am only writing this now because I had quite a few things I needed to get done and I can't even seem to lift my head off my pillow, the headache is that excruciating. I took Advil to hopefully relieve the headache but I shouldn't have to take anything. My point is, I've been on 30mg for years and this has never happened. I am not sure about these generic pink ones anymore...
I have been on Adderall ( Amphetamine Salt Combo) for several years and on my previous refill to the one I just had refilled 2 days ago, I noticed a big difference. I had more energy, I was able to focus, decreased apatite and I mentioned to the pharmacist how much I liked the new pink pill. On this refill I received a pink pill but it is not the same, I thought I was taking a sugar pill because it does nothing for me. I am upset because now I am stuck with this worthless med for a whole month and that is what brought me to this site, because I wanted to make sure the pharmacy staff didn't exchange my pills. That's how bad this med is. I have a call out to the pharmacist now to discuss never to give me this generic version again.
And I have read where people report that generic is the same as brand, don't get me wrong, all my meds are generic if available, and I have no problems with the ones I am taking, but as a person whom takes a lot of meds, there are huge difference's between generic's. Any person whom claims differently is talking from non-experience.
I agree with you in that there is a noticeable difference between many generic and varying companies to their non generic counterparts. Adderall is definitely one of those meds. I don't take many meds but have been on adderall for almost 15 yrs. I still remember that awful month I was.given generic adderall when it first came out. I was jittery and miserable... didnt know why. The following month, my roommate picked up my script for me and told me the pharmacist told him to tell me/remind me that my adderall was now generic. It was my roommate who put the pieces together about my changed demeanor over the past month. Fortunately at that time, I was.working and had great health insurance and it was nothing to me to pay 30.00 for name brand instead of 5 or 10 bucks for generic. I was able to get the non generic as my physician willingly wrote "brand name only" on my scripts. I have not worked since july 2011 and lost my health insurance shortly after.
The first time I took my script to be filled w/o insurance, I was mortified at the nearly 500.00 price for my script. I had to take a partial script and get to my dr for a new script for the generic version. I was taking adderall xr back then. The generic did not work for me. After trying different meds and dosages, I found that my best compromise was 30 mg b.i.d of ampheta s/combo from Barr pharmaceutical. It still does not compare to the name brand but Ive had to make it work. Im paying 70 to 80 bucks a month for the generic as I have not the resources to pay for the name brand and as a result I feel I lack the quality of life and organizational abilities I once had with proper medication. I suppose I initially replied to your comment because I do agree with you in that some generic meds do not "act" the same as their name brand counterparts. I apologize for my lengthy hx but felt the need as ive read a couple of other comments that caused some concern. One being another company has come out with another generic form of adderall and most people find it to have many negative side effects and that places like walmart, walgreen, and cvs have been switching to this new generic??? I also read a post that walmart is no longer taking discount cards for narcotics. Any knowledge as to the accuracy of this is? I use walmart and I asked the pharmacy tech if this were true. She said "no". Any ideas as to how to verify either statement? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, apologies for being lengthy... this is my 1st comment/post and am still trying to learn etiquette.
Thanks!
Theresa
Pink 30s Adderall I can't sleep on one pill at 8 am. It's 6am I haven't slept in 5 days. I told my pharmacy he said nothing he could do. I am gonna have to get my doses a different way before I go crazy . I have ADD bad I have been on Adderall for 27 years of my life never had an issue. I am taking the generic pink they suck. Tell me the manufacturer I will serve them with a Tort Civil suit.
I started with the orange pill, worked great. Then went to a different pharmacy and they gave me a pink one. It sucked. I told my doctor and he wrote me a new prescription. I went back to my old pharmacy (cvs)
This stuff is so bad, I thought my mind had left my body. Now in addition to not being able to focus, the thoughts are raining down on my head and I want to run for cover! I got the pink instead of the orange without knowing beforehand. I never experienced such a difference between generic drugs. I am going to ask my dr. for the Adderall XR. I hope I can get it. Had to go to 5 different pharmacies to get my generic adderall this time.
Hello 2nd sight.
I am not a doctor, and I don't play one on television either, but it sounds like you either have a reverse placebo effect going on or some other reaction. There should be no difference in the "feel" of the generic over the name brand. They go through the same production procedure and that procedure is regulated by the FDA just as stringently as the patent releasing drug company. Something seems amiss...
That's actually not true. While the active ingredient remains the same, the non active ingredients used are completely different allowing for reactions either to the individual chemicals or the combination. Many people respond differently due to the sensitivities. Look up tips max brand vs generic for another example
I know this is old but I recently had the same problem with both my Xanax and Adderall non XR. It's the fillers they add in them, every company makes them differently. If someone is reading this, trying to find an answer; Look up "fillers" in medications used by different companies. Stick with the ones you know that work or ask your pharmacist to switch, they will, if they're nice.
