Is there anyone out there on 50mg of paroxetine? I was on 40mg for six years and had my dose increased to 50mg four weeks ago. It has been terrible so far – increased anxiety, depression and OCD thoughts.
Anyone else on 50mg paroxetine?

Hi, Teller!
It's very common to experience new/increased side effects after a dosage increase but this generally resolves before 4 weeks. It wasn't a huge increase in your dose so you probably shouldn't still be having problems.
If you haven't already you might want to get in touch with your doctor and describe what's going on and get their professional advice.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better quickly.
Not in my case. In four weeks, I felt a touch better, but not my normal self. I also read it varies from person to person and it can take 6-8 weeks to feel the full effects of the increased dose.
It certainly can vary from person to person especially if you're treating anxiety. Although it can take 6-8 weeks to reach full therapeutic levels initially, after an increase it takes less time because the drug is already in your system.
"For most people, benefits are generally noticed two to four weeks after increasing a medication dose."
