I have been on Wellbutrin for about 10 years. I recently noticed my hair is getting thin and falling out. Could these side effects come all of a sudden? I really don’t want to stop Wellbutrin but I also don’t want to lose my hair.
Does anybody have hair loss on Wellbutrin?

Yes. I have been taking Bupropion for 3 years and have had significant hair loss. I have never had thick luxurious hair by any means but I have tremendous hair loss and receding hair line now and have been trying everything to prevent and encourage hair regrowth to no avail. I am now going to wean myself off of this medication and see if I can regain some of my hair coverage.
Hi, mariestar!
It’s unlikely and alopecia is uncommon, affecting only 0.1 to 1% of users. You’ll probably want to report this to your doctor to be sure there’s another cause. But if you do need to stop the medication your hair will grow back.
Regards and good luck!
Thanks
