Is it acceptable to cut tablet in half to reduce my daily dose to 5 mg as my blood pressure is. Dry much under control 125 over 70 . Many thanks.

As far as splitting the tablet it depends on who you ask. Common wisdom says you should only split tablets that are scored because otherwise you can't be sure of the dosage you're getting. It's best to get your doctor's opinion on this if your tabs aren't scored.
Also, I wouldn't reduce your dose without your doctor's advice.
My BP on medication runs about 117/72 but when my doctor reduced my dosage I was back up to 142/92.
